I thought it was your secret pride. This obviously shows that Jordan is careless and she even admits it. She doesnt want to live a lie and blame it on others, but Tom and Daisy do. However, Jordan did care because at the end of the book, at the funeral, only Gatsbys father, Nick and Jordan attended. She came to the funeral instead of playing in the Westchester golf tournament. Jordan is somewhat of a hypocrite though, saying she hates careless people even though she is one herself. Daisy on the other hand, does not care. She allows Gatsby to drive the car back and to take the blame for killing Myrtle Wilson and retreats into her money when she goes on holiday and gets the house re-done. She can not stand up for herself and shows that she can not handle pressure. She is very materialistic and only really cares about herself in my opinion. Daisy usually wears white to show that she is just a prize wife, nothing more, nothing less. She is a careless woman who uses her frail behaviour as an excuse for immaturity. She needs to have money and it seems to be the only thing that can win her heart. An example of this is when she breaks down crying whilst holding shirts and sayingShow MoreRelatedGatsby, Nick, Tom, and Daisy in Fitzgeraldââ¬â¢s The Great Gatsby554 Words à |à 2 Pagesabout everyone. Rather it suggests that what people believe to be love is normally only a dream.
