This helped Randall Receive to the highest degree of his ideas and material for poems like this one. It was not dying everybody died.It was not dying we had hied onwardIn the routine crashes-and our fieldsCalled up the papers, wrote home to our folks,And the rates rose, all because of us.When hatful died in war it didnt impact the majority of the people in the United States, they would just contact the papers or whoever direct the letters to there family and went on contend the war.We died on the wrong foliate of the almanac,Scattered on mountains fifty miles awayDiving on haystacks, fighting with a friend,We blazed up on the lines we never see.When Randall referred to people dying on the wrong page of the almanac, this just meant that when people died they were marked down as a casualt y of war and not of natural death.Scattered allover the land fitting with a friend or maybe mortal they have just met and never saw before.
